I have my motor (65 300hp) out for rebuild and am currently faced with replacing or installing the LuK pressure plate and clutch disk. Is there a rule of thumb in the replace/resurface decision? Flywheel and pressure plate look to be free of cracks but do show surface burn (...swirley bluish discoloration). Clutch disk is about 3/8 thick and clutch was working fine prior to pulling the motor. Hate to fix stuff that ain't broke, usually wind up breaking something that wasn't broke. On the other hand, I realize pulling the tranny in the future aint gonna be no picnic either...
