Re: 40503 AC fuel pump
Dale, My very original 67 327/300 #7471 had a 40503 pump on it when I purchased it. I don't know for sure if it's original to the car but it makes me wonder.- Top

Re: 40503 AC fuel pump
Brian, From an earlier post, Joe Lucia informed me that the AC 40503 was a replacement from 1968. It replaces the AC 40433. My question was what is stamped in the flange of the 40503. I have looked at 2 that have differnt numbers stamped in the flange. One has 177S40503, the other 015R40503. I am trying to find out what the prefix means. I have a 40503 on my 62 chevy pickup and it just has 40503. NO prefix. From another web site I found that the number 6416712 on the box, is the long number for the AC 40503. Thank you for your help.
