After getting a quote on the restoration of my 66 Bark Blue seat belts ($375 for the pair) I think I'll try a little "garage magic" myself. The webbing is not so bad and I recently saw a posting where someone sent them "out" to the drycleaners. But I am uncertain as to what paint to use on the buckle. The interior dye sold by the restoration supply houses is way too thin. Also would the "artist" hand pain or spray paint the buckles. And is the buckle finish supposed to be smooth or crackled? Thanks for the help.
