    '67 weatherstrip fastners

On the front of the door opening is an "L" shaped weatherstrip called an "auxillary weatherstrip". It's glued on and, in addition, has four push-in type fastners on each side. We have a small controversy here over what type of fasters those should be. A very knowledgeable Corvette restorer in the area swares they should be plastic. The Judging Guide indicates a metal fastner. What's right? HELP!

The original fasteners on my 67 are metal with a black finish. If you are carefull they can be removed and reused.

Thanks Gene. With so many "experts" running around, it's easy to get confused!
