Yesterday our local corvette club drove up to the Anheuser-Busch Plant for 28th annual Gate City Corvette Clubs Spring Fling 2006 Corvette show. We brought up 6 vettes going from Pub 99 in Vernon,Ct up 84 to the Mass. pike to Rt.495 to Rt.3 it was a beautiful day and the ride a joy. In attendence was about 300+ Corvettes with just about every age group represented with the exception of the 53-55 group, of which I didn't see any. I didn't have high expectations with the size of the field and entered the street class division, where mostly the outside of your car is judged. I was surprized to take 1st place in the mid year coupe division beating out a blue 67 "427" car that was a real looker and I had pegged for that #1 spot. To even more shock, I ended up getting "Best of Street Class" also.. beating out some very nice Corvettes..totally unexpected there!! There were some beauties there, Congrats "Gate City" the field was great the music even better....FUN WAS BEING THERE!!

Hi Gary, I was there also and a beautiful day it was. If you go back next year, make sure you take in the free plant tour. Not only was it interesting, but the samples at the end were very tastey !

I have owned my 79 for 1 year. I'm upset I missed the AB run to Merrimack. I used to live in Merrimack but have moved to Pembroke. Would like to join a Vette club. Could you send me info in regards to Gate City Vettes. Thanks, JeffComment
