    accelerator rod placement on a 67 400HP

Where does the accelerator rod mount on the throttle plate. The big hole at the top or the hole all the way at the bottom?? Are there bushings for this hole?? Also where does the return spring mount after you fasten it the bracket on the accelerator rod?? Is there a special bracket for this?/ thanks

    Larry -

The accelerator rod goes in the top hole on the throttle lever, with the usual plastic sleeve and rubber bushing. There was a bracket under two intake bolts (part of the engine from the engine plant) that anchored the forward end of the return spring.
