    '67 underbody plates

I read somewhere that the underbody plates/reinforcements for the seat bolts and seat belts are painted green zinc chromate for AO Smith cars. Is this correct? I know that the seat reinforcements for St. Louis cars are painted black and the seat belt reinforcements are zinc, but what about AO Smith cars? What do the judges want to see?

    Thanks

    Re: '67 underbody plates

The plates on my A. O. Smith 67 had no paint on them when I started the restoration process with one exception. There is a bracket riveted to back of the rear wall of the luggage compartment. (In front of the gas tank.) This has some black paint on it but nothing green. This looks like the backing plate for the front seat mounts.
