Was talking to a Canadian today who said his Canadian delivered 427/435 was built with out a stinger painted on the bb hood. Could this be true? Thanks, Chris

Chris -- Were the Canuck's initials D.R ? If so, the car is green/black leather and he's the original owner. He specifically requested no hood stripe on the order form. -

Noland Adams makes note in his resto book that the early '67 427/435's were turned out without a stinger accent paint. My '67 435 roadster (#100863) is a 9/15/66 build and is noted in Nolands book as being an early 435 observed with an accent stinger, but it appreared NOT to be a factory stinger in design ( although the one on there now is perfect). There were 435 cars later than #863 that were NOT built with the stinger. So apparently, if I resto. my paint correctly, my car would be triple black with no accent stinger. Damn..... and I love that red stinger too !!Comment
