where to find correct 78 tran. seal?

im needing to replace the speedo cable seal where it goes into the transmission, but my local chevy parts man says GM discontinued the part, im not big into restorations so can someone please advise where to find this part?? ecklers doesnt have it either,, HELP????!!!! thanks doug

Im still an amateur at this restore stuff and I cant gurantee this is the best place to get what you are looking for....

but if you go to www.corvette-paragon.com and download their 68-82 catalog on page 18 I think you will find what you are looking for.

Part numbers (depends on what all you need):

7188K (gear fitting w/seal & oring) $10

or
10481 (just the seal) $4

Automatic transmission seal part # is 759024. This is a Carquest part #
