    67 Big Block hoods

Some members may know I tried to sell my 67 on E-Bay. Mine is the 67 #12345
Corvette that got out of the factory having a BB hood when the car is a
327-350hp. SB. Yes I'm aware that some don't believe it ever happened and it
    Don't really matter to me.

Noland Adams in his Corvette Restoration book Vol.2
Page 384 on body work (Big-block hoods were installed on small-block cars in

Late February or early March 1967, for a period of THREE to FIVE days,)
    Note(23)

Now go to the FOOTNOTES page 455 1967 (23 Example:194377S112345)
Now if Noland cant be believed I give up.

The NCRS JM mentions the BB hood but made a mistake saying the hood support
Is on the right side and should say left side. I have showed my 67 once in 26 years.

My point is other owners write saying they also have a BB hood and their
Corvette is a SB car. ( what can they do?) I say Good luck!!

With the Big money being paid for Corvettes now! There are
More BB Corvettes, FI Corvettes then GM ever made and they have
All the paper work in the world to prove it.

My hood has none so I'm just going to keep driving and enjoying it, it's not for sale any more my son gets it later.

    Re: 67 Big Block hoods

I had a GM 64 Vette Styling/Engineering Car. Previously owned by Asst. Engineer under Zora Duntov. I Doced thru Chuck Jordan, Bob Clift, and Noland Adams. Finally after looks like a duck etc. I gave up on NCRS experts who claimed it was not what it was. My dad told me as a kid "An Expert is just a Guy away from home". So no offense to NCRS members who were very helpful during my search. I understand frustration if not ALL things line up such as your BB hood. There are no absoloutes anymore. Someday I'll post a pic of this 64 with the Db5 Aston 007 styling for fun. See Mecum auction June 2006 on their silver blue car, mine was similar. Sorry to ramble on about I, Me Mine. Just after dealing with Noland. I empathize with you and Nolands side regading your hood. Makes your car VERY unusual. Maybe keep in your family after all.
