Part # help on trunk mat

Have a black trunk mat with part # GM 3725404. Would appreciate knowing what year and if it has any value. Is in nice shape, little dirt but no tears, holes or fading.

The number looks familiar to me. I believe that is a third design '56-'57 trunk mat. I am going off of memory and a seven digit part number is a bit trying. I would need to double check my book though to be sure. There are two other markings that you might want to look for on there. At one corner there might be (should be) a two digit date in a circle i.e., 56 in a circle. Directly across at the other corner there might be (should be) another logo that is US Rubber about the same size as the circled date. Both are molded into the mat. If those are there then you may have an original trunk mat. If either of those are missing, then it is most likely a reproduction trunk mat. I would be interested in what you find.

On the left rear corner there is a 3/8" dia. circle with what looks like RC in it, right rear corner there is a 3/8" dia. circle with 56 in it.
