C1 Fuel Recommendation

What is the prefered fuel grade for a 57 dual quad? I have been told that premium has more alcohol and will create more hot soak issues. I realize that knocking is the biggest problem with lower octane. What are the majority of you using?

If you have a STOCK 270, in STOCK TUNE I see no reason why you couldn't get along just fine with 91 octane as long as you're not doggin' the thing a lot.

No comment on the alcohol.

Mike: I have a '57 dual quad and use 91 octane non-ethanol. It works fine in all my Corvettes. Up here in northern Minnesota, we have numerous stations that sell the non-ethanol premium, thanks to the efforts of the Minnesota Street Rod Association to allow it even in corn growing Minnesota.
