    66 master cylinder paint shade

Getting ready to paint the non-PB master cylinder on a 66. What would be the best semi gloss to use? Second, would the cap clips also be painted along with the cap?

    Thanks in advance,
    Rob

    Rob,

The 65 and 66 single circuit master cylinder was painted semi gloss black, as was the cover with it's attaching clips. I still don't know for sure if these items were painted together as an assembly or if they were painted separately but it would seem to make much more sense that they were painted together.

      Michael,

Thanks for the info about painting as a unit. I read the archives and am convinced that the cap was semi gloss black also, but I didn't know about the clips and I still would like to know which paint to use. Quanta chasis semi gloss black? Krylon 16_ _ ? Do you, or does anyone else, have a suggestion?

      Again, thanks in advance.

I'm probably not the best source on a paint brand for this. I always used GM 1050104 but that's been discontinued for many years now. I'm told that Krylon 1613 is the color of choice today for this and many other similar applications.
