What are the details of the car..maybe someone on this board remembers it.

If you are looking to buy the car..can the current owner supply you with any history? Will the owner give you permission to do a DMV search...before you commit?

I am attempting to help out a friend who is not, as of yet, an NCRS member. What we currently know about the car: build date=5/28/57, Venetian red (respray but nooks and crannies show original red), NOM, 3 speed, two tops, and that's it. Other than a resale respray, the car is in rough shape. I would call it a condition 3 minus, at best. A law enforcement friend attempted to run the VIN through the NM MVD with no luck. Owner, who is out of the country, is asking in the high $30s for the car. I suggested to my friend that he ought to forget about it the asking price, but the "red mist" has decended on him.
