Just wondering how many points off I would get with this replacecement vinyl top on my 67, in regard to the rear window and labels:
Label on the rear window (note the position in the picture) says
JOT(or DOT)-#108
REGALITE (not VINYLITE)
AS-6M-1 D 89
DO NOT RUB DRY
WASH WITH
WATER SOAKED CLOTH
The position of the label looks odd to me as being about 6" off the lower left corner.
I got this top from ZIP about 16 years ago as an OEM style with a sealed rear window. But I never put it on, as I was using the hardtop (which I had covered in white vinyl in the early 70's).
The reason I'm asking is that at recent judging, I got a full deduct of 85 on color, only because of the white vinyl on the hard top. (and only one off on the hardtop itself). This I accept, but I'm trying to run the numbers for judging it next time with this replacement convertible top.
I'd rather put my limited funds into a dry battery, rather the lay out the same bucks just for a date code and logo difference. I'm sick of these lead acid batteries cooking and rusting the frame.
Incidentally, how do those dry R59 Restoration batteries judge?
