1967 Corvette P/B Booster Date
Hi, can anyone tell me how the Julian date works on the power drake booster on a Mid-Year Corvette? I have a booster that was removed from a 1964 Corvette and that number reads "4311". To me this is the 311th day of 1964 which would make the booster a 1965 Booster not a 1964... Correct? One on my 1967 reads 7011 does this mean that it's the 11th day of 1967? I would like to know where this reference information can be found. Kind regards to all, RickRick Jones

Re: 1967 Corvette P/B Booster Date
Rick,
Eric is correct. The four digit tab number is the last four numbers of the Delco part number for the unit. The 4311 would only be correct for 64 and 65 with drum brakes. The 7011 is 65-66 and a 67 should have a 5867.
Supposedly, these boosters are not interchangeable from year to year by tab number but GM did eventually sell only one booster that serviced 64-67. There are many internal parts that changed from one model to the next.
If any of these boosters are dated in any way, I'm not aware of it.- Top

Re: 1967 Corvette P/B Booster Date
You may find a julian date stamped on the other side of the tab that has the part number on it; I know '68-'69 Camaro Delco boosters are that way - part number derivative on one side, julian date on the other side.- Top
