C2 SB heat shield material finish.

Just cleaned the four heat shields that go just above the spark plugs, 3815084 & 3817657 (657 available GM part). They still look very good, however what was used as a finish.
Was it zinc or bright zinc or something else?

They were clear zinc plated (i.e. no "gold" irridite overplate). When new, the plating was fairly bright.
