C5 2001 TIRE MONITORING SYSTEM PROBLEM

The tire monitoring system on my 2001 corvette coupe says that the left rear tire is flat and i put a new tire pressure sensor in the wheel as i thought that was the problem. The car still tells on the display center that the tire is flat. I wouldnt have a problem with this except that the car beeps every ten minutes to tell me the tire is flat...and its obviously not. I have referred to my service manuals for further help but i have not been able to resolve the problem. If anyone has any suggestions for me they would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

What pressure is it telling you? Or is it just registering low?

And when you go check your tire pressures, what are they at?

You may have to reset the sensor using a magnet per the instructions or you have a loose connection at the wheel sending unit

I tried using the magnet like you suggested. When i put the magnet up to the other three wheels the horn honked as described in the manual. However the wheel that has the problem did not honk the horn and the system still reads the tire as being flat. Anymore suggestions? Thanks.

It could be just a bad sensor or as I think I mentioned check the connections near the wheel.
