On my 68 427/435, I've got the motor and chassis pretty much done, but I'm not sure where the smog vaccum hose ties into the carb set up? Can someon help with this? There is a small (1/8th inch ID) rubber hose coming off the Smog Pump. Where is that supposed to plug in?
I'm not a C3 guy, but I THINK that hose (from the diverter valve attached to the pump) tees into the hose that operates the choke pull-off diaphragm on the center carb, which is a full manifold vacuum source. Maybe someone else more familiar with them can confirm or correct.
The "T" is plastic. It is the exact same one as used on the carb vacuum pods. On my car the "T" is a milky clear/yellow color. The line runs over the top of the pod but I have no idea if this is the original routing of the line.
My car came with a Gold Cad metal T, but it was in the Vacuum Pod line, but it is longer in each direction. It looks REALLY old, so I wasn't sure if I should use that or not.
The AIM shows the line going over the front Pod, but it's a pretty basic drawing.
