    C1 (60) heater hose connections?

I want to make sure I connect my heater hoses correctly! Do I use a short piece of 5/8" hose between the heater core return tube to the 90 degree copper elbow (Paragon) and then 3/4" hose through the firewall to the manifold? The other 5/8" hose runs from the water pump to the inlet tube? Shouldn't both holes (where the inlet tube passes through and the return hose) in the firewall have rubber grommets or just the return line hole?

    Jim...

The water pump hose passes thru the firewall and clamps inside/under the dash to the 90 degree elbow. The manifold hose clamps on the engine side of the firewall without a grommet,

      Dennis, I'm sorry, I'm confussed.
The HCV (Heater Control Value) seems to align perfectly with the outside hole in the firewall (closest to the fender)? The HCV is a replacement from Corvette Central. The HCV copper tube comes through the firewall about 2 to 3 inches. Are you saying that the HCV copper tube should be going through the inside hole (closest to the engine)? Is the 5/8" hose used on the HCV copper tube? I thought that the HCV was the inlet? Shouldn't the hose going into the HCV copper tube be coming from the water pump?
Thanks for the help and information :-))
