    Hi all

Can someone help me. My 62 vette sitting in the garage just waiting to be finished seems to be making a click type sound every so many minutes. I can't figure it out.Can it be the clock? Does anyone else here this on there cars? What can it be? Your help is appreciated.

    Re: clicking noise

Could it be a mouse in one of the vent tubes scratching? Just a thought.

If it's around every 2 minutes, it's the clock. *NM*

At least you know your clock is still working (until it completely drained you battery)...

            greetings,

              John,

Mine on a 67, clicks every 2 minutes and 10 seconds, although it has been overhauled once. The click is the magnet getting aa electrical jolt and rewinding the spring.

Can you imagine the number of repetitions of a jolt and rewind every two minutes over 44 years. If somebody gave your body a little electrical jolt, and wound your clock every two minutes, how long would your body last.

Would be fun to have a clock rewind timing contest. Shortest or longest rewind time probably needs an overhaul.

I remember that, but tough watching

in a C2. My 67 Renault 10 was better for watching.(and so was I then)

                      Kevin,

Maybe that's why I can no longer last more then one clock wind at the Submarine Races.

Seriously, is your clock still running fast, or slow? After mine was overhauled, it is still running about 5 minutes a day fast. I've tried that procedure from the Owner's manual to reset the speed numerous times, but to no avail. Any luck on your end.

                        Jerry,

Still running slow and I too have followed the manual. So between battery disconnect and running slow I've just resolved myself to setting it from my old garage neon clock before I leave the house. No big deal.

I guess better fast then slow

Someday it will slow down like me.
