1975 Fender Attachment

Noticed the other day that my right front fender is not bolted at the top to the (front skirt??) wheel well like the left front fender. This results in being able to lift the fender slightly up away from the skirt. Can't do it on the left side.

Am I missing a bolt or is it normal for the right side?

Can't find any mention in the 75 Assembly Manual.

The fender is not bolted to the skirt, except the lower rocker area is bolted to the little triangular splash shield. At the front the innerfender is bolted to the radiator support and the skirt is bolted to the upper header bar. these should be essentually the same both sides.

Thanks for the info Wayne. I did some further investigation on mine and it looks like the bolts on my left fender(9/16" with nuts that are about 2 1/4" from the front of the fender channel and 27" from the rear of the fender) have large drippings of resin underneath them on the skirt. I wonder if they are there to help strengthen or reinforce the hood support bracket? Oh well, who cares for now. Too many other problems to take care of.
