Usually, the difficulty that folks face in front a-arm bushing servicing is getting the old ones out. It's really not all that difficult, but many folks find it so. Anyway, installing the bushings is not difficult, at all. For a pictorial description and text of the procedure, refer to your Chevrolet or Corvette Factory Service Manual.
Briefly, however, all you need to do is fabricate a tool which will allow you to support the "ears" of the a-arms against each other. Then, simply press in the bushings using an arbor or hydraulic press and pressing on the outer collar/flange of the bushings.
Now, one mistake you don't want to make. It might seem obvious, but I'll bet the mistake has been made FAR too many times. You must make sure that the control arm SHAFT is installed BEFORE you press the bushings into the arm. Don't get so focused on installing the bushings that you forget to do the obvious. In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top
