    1967 4-speed console

After removing the console and rechroming the pot metal on my console i am trying to get it painted properly prior to reinstallation. My car is goodwood green (code 983) and the interior trim is also green (430AA). The vinyl seats, glove box door and the housing around the parking brake all have an appropriate aged green....maybe described as a "matted" finish or maybe a simulated leather look. My question is this.........should the console i am about to paint have the same tone and look as the seats, glove box door and the housing around the parking brake.

    Richard -

The grained portion of the shift console should match the seats, door trim panels, carpet, main/center dash panel and console side covers, and the parking brake housing. The instrument cluster and glove box door are always black.
