    68 door restoration?

Any suggestions on the best way to take care of rust issues on 68 doors? I have 4 doors (2 off my car and 2 that were an e-bay purchase) between all 4, I don't have two "perfect" doors.

Anyone delt with rust issues around the window felts, lower area of the door and the rear latch area.

Thank You for any suggestions on the best way to deal with this.

On my 68 drivers side on the upper rear (inner edge with lock mechanism) edge the metal was rusted. I was lucky as only the edge was starting to get thin. I was able to cut it off and mig weld a small piece on but it was very difficult as the metal is so thin there. I was lucky as I was able to get to some good metal an inch away. You can only do small tack welds as anything continuous will just blow through it. It helps to get a piece of copper behind it when you weld as it helps support it and acts as a heat sink. There is no way to weld on rusty metal as it just blows through. I guess you can always try fiberglas but that probably won't last.
