Did all 1966 427 engines have transitorized ignitions? If not which ones did and which onew were it only an option?

The T.I. system was required with the 425 HP engine but optional with the 390 HP 427.

Ti cars had a clip mounted directly under the center of the left hood latch for the wiring harness. If you look through the hole in the latch you will see the clip.

You may be right. I have had a few 67 TI cars and that is what I remember. My 66 coupe #26,455 had the clip-maybe becasue it was a late car.

                Mike,

I agree. My November 65 built 66 does not have the clip under the LH hood lock assy for the TI wiring harness. The 1966 assembly manual does show the clip but the page was redrawn & revised on 2-1-66 so I would guess that cars built some time starting in late February would have the clip. I'm certain that the reason for this new page was to include the newly added clip.
