Would the 230th day of 1968 work? I don't have my charts wioth me, but that would be sometime in the fall I think.

Did not know if the zero after the 3 was a zero or a C. 1st one I have seen with a date code on the base.
Thanks but I am looking for a late 69 so it will not work for me.

Re: date code on rochester 7029202

If the carburetor was built by Rochester then the numbers are likely a Julian date, and the numbers I quoted are what you should find.
If Carter built it, under license to Rochester, then the month designator is a letter (A = January, B = February, ect.) and the year would show 68. As far as I know those are the two options.
If you are looking for a late 1969 Q-jet the code will be on the body of the carburetor -- NOT the base. The base stamping was another of those 1968 only kinds of details.

Clem -- the D2 is what I would expect from a Carter built Q-Jet. I can't tell you about the base.
