63 Freeze Plugs

I just purchased freeze plugs "corect" from CC and I am not happy about them being the shallow type. Thay have only half of the depth of the original type. Could they be prone to leaking in the future? Are they ever Judged? Is there someone out there that sells the correct ones?

I understand that the preferred freeze plug is the brass one. But for judging you must putty over the numbers before you paint the block. Brass will last much longer than the steel ones.

The Brass plugs and the aluminum radiator are not a happy together they form that electrolasis action. I use the brass ones at the back of the block only use Long Islands plugs for the rest, they dont have any numbers on them. Phil 8063

Think about what happens in an L89 or LS6 with a brass radiator and the aluminum heads - jumpin' gerbils batman!
