Joe--in an earlier post, you mentioned that the intake for a 6869 was exclusive to the Corvette--I just came across a 68 big block with the following number--3963569. Is this the correct one?

Isn't that the Holey intake?

The 1968-69 pass cars all used a high rise cast iron intake. The Corvettes used a low rise Q Jet ALUMINUM oval port intake. For 1970-71 ALL Chevrolet BB used a low rise intake, the Holley rect port was for the 375/396 and LS6.

Isn't the one you have a Holley intake? The ones with the intake ports numbered for the cylinders are the 1971(?) version.

That intake is a 1970-71 L/78 & LS-6 ( SHP ) intake. I can't remember if you
were hunting a Holley or Rochester intake.
