The engine code on my protect-o-plate reads "T0922JEH" when you hold it up to a mirror. So we have Tonawanda, Sept 22, and the JE is 427/435 special high performance and this all matches my engine stamp pad (no "H" on the engine pad) Can anyone explain the "H" appearing at the end? What do those of you with similar cars have on your protect-o-plates?
The last character in the engine code on the plate is the carburetor source code. H+ Holley, R+ Rochester etc. There were no Rochester carburetors for the Corvette line in 67 but the code system also included all passenger cars, which could have used the Rochester unit.
