In the '63 JM,page 34, it state that "the interior portion of the throttle linkage is cadmium or zinc plated." My NOS linkage bought in '79 appears to be black phosphate and I have been told that it was blackened. This is the rod the pedal rubs or rests inside the car. Which finish is correct? Thanks again, John

Re: 63 throtte linkage
John,
I also have two NOS 63 throttle levers and they are black. (dark grey actually) I'll try to dig one out to verify.
Are you finding this info in the latest version of the JG?- Top

Re: 63 throtte linkage
Michael, I may NOT have the latest 63 judging manual. Mine is the 4th edition dated 2005 and has a light beige cover. Now on line I see a 5th edition listed as NEW. I find it hard to believe they made two manuals two years in a row so I will call Gary & Eric tomorrow and confirm the 5th edition. Thanks for your reply on the interior accelerator rod. No one answered anything on line about my question on the rubber seals on the ends of the intake manifold or base plate. Looking for an original dipstick but the DB is not the place to ask.- Top

Re: The repo stick is right on (340/360 Hp)
Phil, Whose repro dipstick is right on? I just got one from LI and it was Paragon's.Please elaborate your answer when you say right on. Does the repro have an M or W? Does it have the deep embossed Add, Full, Engine Oil, etc. I haven't seen one pass yet at the last four shows I went to. They were all marked SR on the sheets (service replacements). Question on originals. Do they have a "B" on the handle (hilt)? The repros do. Thanks, John- Top
