    Max,

I would say "Lectric Limited". I have purchased T-3's for both my 67 and my 72 from them and been happy.

    part # SB6067S (1960-1967) $119.00 for 4 bulbs.

        Keep in mind...

...those are reproduction lamps and will earn you a 3 point deduct out of 4500 points... An NCRS decal will give you back those 3 points...

I know you don't want to shop on e bay. But I have purchased 2 sets of 4 (2-low-2 -hi) in near perfect condition for about 1/2 cost of repros. Don

The Lectric Limited one's have DOT on them but very small and you have to be looking for it. Sometimes the judges will miss it. Luckily, I had my decal on the last time.

They didn't miss mine and I got 4 pts deducted, one per bulb....so my decal didn't cover it all.

                Max,

Not surprisingly, original T3 sealed beams (without the DOT markings) are getting harder and harder to find! Last time I was hunting for them, at Corvettes at Carlisle, in 2002, I had little trouble finding good ones at 10.00 for hi-low (#2), and 5.00 for hi (#1). Corvettes at Carlisle 2005, and the NCRS Kissimmee regional this past Jan, both yielded NONE. There were some discolored, but still working pieces available for 20.00-30.00 each..............I passed! I later traded for a near perfect #2 beam thru a local contact.
In any case, always test a used beam before buying. If the seller won't let you do so, then walk away from it. Even if it works, if you don't know how to spot a "dying" sealed beam, then you're better off buying the repops from LL. If you purchase a healthy, working beam, then be sure to re-seal the electrode seals with red RTV before storing/installing.

You should not have received a 4 point deduct standard deduct for DOT is 3 points per set assuming evrything else is correct

I had #1,s at Bloomington for $10. the high beam only tested. Would the deduction be less if the highs were no DOT and the lows had DOT?

if you put just some repops in they will be brighter than the old ones. will have a yellow light up next to the repop.

I thought we were trying to get the most points as their are no points added to get a Duntov for driving and most corvettes never see the dark with their wheels turning.

The standard deduction for four reproduction (DOT) T-3's is three points for the full set, not one point per bulb.

Kind of confusing because there's an odd number of points deducted for an even number of items. What happens if only one lamp is repop and the rest are legit. Or if two are repop, two legit. Lets see..... 3 points, times .75 is....

Maybe...... maybe it would be less confusing if it was one point per bulb?

Headlights are allocated three originality points per bulb (for gennie non-DOT T-3's). Correct brand and style service replacements, deduct 70% per lamp value. Incorrect brand or style, deduct 100% per lamp value (and related condition points) for each incorrect lamp. Current reproduction DOT T-3's, deduct three points for a full set.
