    C1 build date

Hello Forum Fans- Please entertain one of those dumb questions.
I'm in the process of determining what DAY of the month my 61 was hatched.
SN 100689 which is #689 of 1052 buillt. (which was built in Sept. 60-we knew that). To my knowledge take the number of cars divided by the number of days worked in Sept. and then divide that number into 689.
If so, there were 22 days inc. Labor day (Monday thru Friday-EXCLUDING Sat/Sun). 1052/22=approx. 48 cars built per day in Sept. 60. Therefore,#689/48 per day = 14 or Sept. 14th the birth date of my money pit.

My question pertains to the number of days the General worked his employees. Was it M-F only with holidays/weekends off? Appreciate all thoughts on this matter. this is rather important to me .
Also, if I'm totally off base with my numbers, please reply.
    Thanks
    Leon

    Leon,

The Corvette Birthday Book shows September 21, 1960. Now as you know (or may not) the Birthday Book is dervied by averages using a 5 day work week and may be affected by slowdowns in production due to parts availabilty.
