    Front Bumper

Someone did a hit run on my 69 Corvette Conv. I have been told that no one makes any repo bumpers that are close to orginal bumpers. Now I can go out an try to find an old 69 bumper and have it rechromed. Not an easy task or quick. I like to drive my car this summer. So does anyone have a recommendation for the best place to go to get either an already rechromed orginal or who has the best repro. Price is not that much of issue I will make the isurance company of jerk that hit my car and left, yea we got the guy, pay for it.

Any help would greatly be appreciative.

Front Bumper; Check with David Crane

          Bill,

Check with David Crane @ Crane's Corvettes (http://www.cranescorvette.com) in California. He sells new and rechromed original mid-year bumpers and he has C3 bumpers as well.

To add to the last post there are corvette junk(jewel)yards. There's one just north of Chicago. There's one here in up-state NY. Do a search? I have used, and highly recommend NorthStar Chrome(dot com)outa' Minn/St Paul, 800-328-1845. Ask for Steve or Tim. They will straighten and replate better than new! Ask for "triple" plate who ever does it. They usually have core bumpers on hand and can simply send you a replated bumper from their stock. Try this guy day66vette@optonline.net,845-709-4555, member#28018. He advertises 68-82 "Shark" parts in NCRS "Driveline"
