On the advice of the discussion board, I made about 25 long distance calls (that's gonna hurt at the end of the month)to the Hamlin court house, library, Chamber of Commerce, police dept., and several Chevrolet Dealers in the surrounding area for the street address of this dealer.(Zone #40 Dealer #203) All the dealers remembered Ideal, but the only clue I got was they were located on Court Avenue. So I looked up all the businesses on this street, and one by one, questioned the owners for the whereabouts of Ideal. Finally, I hit the jackpot. I talked with an owner of a florist and gift shop, who said they were located 3 blocks down the street from her place, and all she could remember is that they were in business for a long time, and they have been out of business for a long time. But she had her employee walk down the street to the original site and told me the address was 8150 Court Avenue, Hamlin,(Almost Heaven) West Va. I hope this helps make someones day sooner or later. Secretary of State Office for corporations
Don't know if you tried the secretary of state office, but they have info on corporations. I don't have any idea how far back they go. Similar infomation should be on file at the county courthouse, so you probably covered it that way.- Top

Re: Ideal Chevrolet Sales, Inc. Hamlin, West Va.
Terry, on the application for title that Ideal Chevrolet filled out for the new '67 owner, they listed their address only as Hamlin, W.Va. When I ordered a window sticker from Triple A yesterday, that is the address I gave them. They asked me if I knew what the street address was, or did I just want them to print it up like I gave it to them?
Thinking I was missing some important information, I went through the exercise of tracking down the street address. If I get any comments later on the street address, I can always get a new sticker. I didn't realize there was such a bizarre twist of how the sticker should look, but you do have a point. Thanks. Patrick- Top
