    Vendor Endorsement ****CO

I recently purchased an exhaust system for my '61 from ****CO in Milwaukee, WI. They have the original patterns and bend to order. Prices are very reasonable (way cheaper than aftermarket sellers) and offer systems in aluminized steel and stainless. They are currently running a promotion for oval aluminized mufflers for $40 each!

Because the pipes are bent to order I had to wait about three weeks for delivery. But everything was excellent quality and fit together well (considering I had no help putting it together). The exhaust note is excellent.

****CO (sounds like a slang term from Brooklyn) has a weird mix of VW hot-rod parts and muffler systems for vintage Corvettes and T-Birds. I found them through an Internet search for "Corvette Exhaust". For those in need, I suggest you check out their site: http://www.****co.com/mufflers/ Navigate around using the links to find exploded diagrams and prices for various years.

    Regards!

Sounds (pardon the pun) like a good system..... How do their products hold up from the judging perspective?

****CO is about 20 minutes from me. They bought Zierden's stuff (which was outstanding product)and I preferred to buy from them because I didn't need to pay for shipping.
Their product slipped drastically, to the point where their 62 off-road set didn't fit well and sounded like crap. Haven't used them in about 5 years--maybe they've gotten it back together.

I bought a set of '67 off-road exhaust from Zierden in the 1980's and then another set from ****CO in about 1998. I was very happy in both instances and recommended them to others. Jim Weeks - Member #2978

              Greg,

I wish I could tell you if the bends are as original but the old system was a bubbafied mess created to mate up with headers that I've since removed. Perhaps you can tell from the attached photo and educate me. It is a driver so my main concern is that it fit right and does not hit the frame.

              Thanks,
              Mike

Apparently they are not related to a company that made some tail light lenses for my 66 Mustang. I recently bought a repop lens to replace the orignal faded lens. Original says FoMoCo. The repop says ****Co.

Thanks for posting the pic Mike however I don't think the bends are made as they were originaly. I think the originals would have had 4 or 5 "crimps" on the inside of the bends which was from the bending machine used back then.

So far I don't think anyone does make exhaust with the correct bends so I was just curious to see if these guys might have been the first.

                    Greg....

Can you tell from the pic if the mufflers look correct for judging purposes?

Sorry Norm but I haven't been around long enough to tell how well that exhaust system would judge. To me it looks fine except for the bends but I feel that the mufflers would take a points hit as well.
