I just bought a piece of black foam from AutoZone that was supposed to be some sort of PCV type filter for whatever. They have a display of them. I cut it down to about the right size, made a hole going half way into it and glued it on.
Sorry but this pic is the best I have on hand right now.

I have seen two types of filters. One is a square piece of foam 3/8 X 3/8 x 1/2 with a hole in the square end and could be smaller. Should be black or gray and hole can be put in with a hot pencil soldering iron. The second type has an extra plastic part that fits over the end of the solinoid and the filter fits in the plastic. I have seen the plastic part on many different corvettes with no reason I know of why as the stamped part number has been the same.
