If I remember correctly, the stripe was blue, the same as the upper radiator hose, and the only printing I remember is a two letter code that was, I believe, "AU". I think much later service hoses may have had the part 3794094 number on them.
However, all of this is irrelevant as the hose would have been painted engine orange over most of it's surface during the engine paint process.
The hose I have does have the part number you stated with the GM AU printed on it,but with a yellow stripe.Part # is indicative of a Service Replacement?
The clamps also would have been painted fully or just overspray?
Pretty sure I have an original hose here from a VERY low mileage car that shows the stripe and AU on the lower/back unpainted side. I'm going from memory on the color of the stripe and part number so I could be wrong. I'll try to dig it out tonight and post a pic of it, if I can find it. I have a bag of original NOS hoses that still has the dated paperwork in the bag. I think it was mid 64, if I remember correctly. These match the original from the low mileage car.
The hose and clamps were in place when the engine was painted and these parts were not covered or masked in any way during the process. Typically, the w/pump fitting is coated at least on the top, front and sides with orange. The hose and clamps were coated also with typically about 80%-90% coverage. At the rear end of the hose where it attaches to the intake manifold fitting, there was usually a bit of silver mist, or possibly a ring of silver from the intake manifold/cyl head gasket surface paint operation. Often, the rear half of the rear clamp would be silver and the forward half orange. The mask used for the silver paint operation would cover all but the rear end of the hose.
Here's a pic of a VERY low mileage completely original 63 from 30 years ago that has original engine paint on the by pass hose and clamps. The fitting was almost completely painted orange, same as the hose and clamps. The silver mist at the rear of the hose and clamp seemed to creep under the mask on this one and it trails a bit further forward on the hose and clamp than most. Typcally, most of the hose is coated orange, although some have small areas that weren't hit at all. By far, the majority of original cars had almost the entire visible part of the hose covered. This has certainly been a topic of discussion/debate for the last quarter century but I believe most judges are in agreement with this now. Hope this helps.
