66 C2 Conv... My seatbelts were long gone before I got the car, But I just tried to order some through corvette central and they cant get the medium/bright blue belts. I have heard of a guy that was making them, but don't know who he is.
Joe, will the seat belts be for a driver or for a restoration. If there for a driver then any of the parts suppliers should be OK, try Paragon. The price should be somewhere around $100.
If your going for a restoration and to be judged you can try Seatbelt Sity, Snake Oil and a few others, but the price can be $1000 plus or minus.
When my friend and I were at Bloomington this past weekend he ordered a set of seatbelts that were missing from his 64 (no retractors) and I think the price was $440 or thereabouts. He asked about retractors and the price was in the $500 range. These belts were red, I don't if there is a premium for your blue. Oh, the important part, this was thru Snake-Oyl seatbelts.
Alan,
I am not into 64 seatbelts but that is what the gal said to my friend when he asked about retractors, that they were not offered but they could put them on for extra cost.
My 66 convertible seat belts were in bad shape (dirty, torn, corroded buckles and missing the outer drivers side complete assembly). Snake Oyl fixed me up with a replacement outside assembly, new belts, refinished buckles and new inspection tags. Very nice work -- impressed the judges but very pricey.
Try ecklers.net -- I just bought a 66 vette at Bloomington and ordered bright blue seat belts from ecklers -- they look original on the web but are def not concours or the like, just nice looking belts for a good driver -- about 80 bucks.
I know so little about C2s I couldn't tell you if they came with retractors or not...
Snake Oyl must do much better on C-2 belts than C-3 or the judge gave you a gift. C-3 belts done by Snake Oyl have the font not correct on the labels the stiching the wrong count per inch the thread not the original type and the webing a different thickness. I wish you luck with a real picky judge.
