Any NCRS judges in Chicagoland area?

Me and a buddy both have 66's that we'd like to eventually have judged at an
official NCRS chapter meet. We're not quite ready to make the 160 mile each
way trip to Galena, IL this August.....especially to find out we're not top flite quite yet!!

Does anyone on this board live in or around the Chicagoland area (Naperville) that would be willing to come check out our cars and give some informal judging type opinions on where we are at with these cars? And of course we'd pay you for your time.

If so, please reply with the best way to get ahold of you.

    Thanks, Brian

    Brian,

It doesn't matter if you do not score a top flight in judging, everyone will enjoy your cars. The best way to find out where you are is to enter the cars for judging at a chapter or regional meet. The result is in the form of the judging sheets that provide a detailed look at most components of the car, how they judge and (usually) judges comments for any deductions they make.

Don't worry about flight level at first. Go, learn and have fun.

Join the local Chapter of NCRS!
E-mail Roy Sinor (contacts above) for a set of judging sheets for your car. Also purchase a Technical information and Judging guide from NCRS. Go thru these and see how your car matches up. (I find that I'm much more critical of my own car than the judges....)
Fix the INEXPENSIVE/EASY items that don't meet the judging criteria and then take it to the chapter meet. (Its amazing what a good high pressure washing of the undercarriage at your local car wash can do to 40 years of grime...) You'll do fine. Its a great experience!!!
