    '67 shocks

Hi, What Julian date would you expect to see on 906 & 907 standard suspension shocks if they were originals for a Sept . 23 '66 build date?

Thank You for your time and response,
    Dave

No later than 260-66 (about a week before the car was built).

Allow for S.O.P. lag on early cars

... as there was the 2 or 3 week pause in assembly between model years.

My early '65 VIN 014xx was produced Nov 6th, the first day production resumed after the UAW strike that started at St.Louis on Sept 25th, after '65 # 1425 was completed. So, if not for the strike, my original shocks would have been put on the car within 24 hours or so of this date, which is close to your Sept 23 build.

My fronts (906's) are both 160-64 {about 1st week of May), and the rears (907's) are both 203-64 [about June 20th]. So you can see the dates are from 3 months (rears) to about 4_1/2 months for the fronts.

An overly zealous judge might even argue that my fronts may just not meet the 6-month window by a few days.
