HAS ANYONE USED HANLON PLATING IN RICHMOND?

I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW IF ANYONE HAS USED HANLON PLATING IN RICHMOND,VA TO RECHROME THEIR BUMPERS. AS I UNDERSTAND IT THEY DO "NICKEL CHROME" AND DO NOT DO THE COPPER PLATING STEP. HOW DOES THIS HOLD UP?

Dont, unless you want to continuously send them back for redos.

Nickle is for older stuff. 20s-30s etc.... Call NorthStar Chrome(dot com) out of Minn/St.Paul. 800-328-1845. Ask for Steve or Tim. Their triple plate is one of the best I've seen. They stand behind what they do and the prices are inline. Tell them Steve from Holmen Wi. with the 68 442 bumper sent ya! These people have a good stock of common cores inventoried that eliminates you having to ship yours and reduces turn around too.

Hate to disagree with Mr Womble, but I had Hanlon plate all the bumpers on my '69 back in 1998, and they still look wonderful today. I was pleased with the price and the quick turnaround time.

Shannon, you are so disagreeable. That was then, this is now. You know, I used them extensively for many years and yes, some did OK, but,I have had to send many back, many times. Three times on the 66 which is outside a lot, and two times on the 31 Cadillac, which is hardly ever out. Fact is, that without copper, any flaw will rust under the chrome and it will eventually come off. In their defense, they did redo them without cost. You were just lucky though.
