the area just below the wiper grills and just in front of the windsheild where the wiper posts are hidden. Is this area supposed to be body color? My 66 Coupe is being painted Sebring Silver.

Re: What color to paint........
Dennis,
After all of the prime/paint operations, the area below the grills would have been body color. The last step in the process would then have been blackout, which covered most of the body color in this area.
By the way, wouldn't your car originally have been painted Satin silver, not Sebring silver?- Top

Re: What color to paint........
That area was "blacked out". I painted the body color in those areas first. Then during my black out painting, I masked these areas attaching the masking to the top rim only of the hole letting the black out paint fog into the area. This results in a "soft" line of blackout to body color. The same soft line should be done to the hood lip in the area of the hinges (where the hood edges turn in slightly).. not a definitive paint line left by masking tape.
Hope this helps

No, the wiper pins were installed after painting. Basically the only things on the body that were installed before paint were riveted in place....- Top

I'll try again to give you the photos...
This photo shows the break line for paint at the rear of the door opening. It typically breaks on the crown of the trim piece.
These photos show the break lines on the door.- Top
