I am looking at a 64 300HP car. the numbers are reallly clean on the block. Also it has has side xhaust and I think it may need a clutch, also the left retractable headlight is way off center. Paint is fair but the rest of the body seems pretty straight and it runs well.Otherwise not a bad car. The price is 27K. It also has a factory hardtop. Do you think the price is fair?

Might be a good deal, might be a nightmare. If I were you I'd ask a knowledgable NCRS person in your area to go with you for another look before you buy it.

I was all pumped up about a white/red 64 coupe about 20 years ago. The guy wanted 10K. I took a grey bearded friend who also had a 64 coupe with me to look it over and he pointed out the rust in the birdcage around the door openings and on the frame kick-up underneath.

He advised me to walk away..I did and still have no regrets.

It seem's to be a fair price.I am looking at a 64 also, and they are asking 29k for it.But I will have to say I see Corvette price's droping off a little. In the real world I am refering to, not Barret and Jackson's maybe but I don't think most NCRS member's are going to buy from them anyway.As stated above I would get someone that is very knowledgeable to go and look at it.
