    Paint

I am about to have my 72 LT-1 A/C coupe repainted in the original Ontarion Orange. The car will be up for sale soon after. Am I better off going with lacquer or two stage for resale value. The car is in extremely nice frame on restored condition. Should I consider mixing clear with the lacquer if lacquer is a better way to go?

    Re: Paint

Martin ---- Suggest you stay with laquer depending upon your expected market for resale. Some painters will mix clear with final coats for metallics. Hope there is more input from other on this.

I'd use a good base coat clear coat.

        Re: Paint

I'll go against the grain and suggest a single stage urethane with no clear. It will be much more durable than lacquer and there are techniques that can be used to make it appear very close to a factory lacquer paint job.
