'67 Seats - same or different

I have a '67 that have identical driver and passenger seats with both having the seat latch on the left side (when sitting in them) and the seat adjustment on the right. I would think (similiar to most other GM cars) the seats would be unique with releases on the outside for each seat (dvr=left, pass-rt) with adjustors to the inside. My question is do I have two driver seats or is this how GM did the Vette?

For my '69 (headrests, convertible, no shoulder belts) the seats are identical.

Thats how they were done. The seats are completly interchangable. 2 different seats means different parts. Different parts means higher costs. It all comes down to the money.

I'm surprised - when the lowly Camaro (I own one) has individual seats - I assumed the vette would too, but I guess nobody is climbing into the back seat of a vette. ;-)
