'56-'57 oil filter cannister differences

What is the physical difference between the cannister for '56-'57 and '58 and up?

The length. Unsure of the actual dimension without reference material but the 1956-57 filter (PF131) and canister are longer than the 58 & up (PF141 filter).

I think the '56-'57 was about an inch longer than the '58.
