Two Questions regarding Judging a car. I have a 64 Corvette that is very original and unmolested, with normal maintenance through out its life. It is #'s matching car except a few years back one of it's owners changed the seats from silver vinyl to silver leather. Door panels are correct. . Also the paint looks very nice, has a few minor nicks, and two small stress lines where the fiber glass was put together when new. How many points will I loose in these two areas?

I'm not an expert, so this will be a rough estimate. As far as the seats go there are 24 points for "seats, backs, & trim". You can expect to lose half of that total for the wrong material on the seats and even more if the seat backs and trim are incorrect or in poor condition. For the paint, provided it is the correct color and type that was applied by GM (130 points total for both), then you can lose some of the 40 total points for condition. If you lost all the points for the two items that you describe, you could still top flight. Sounds like a nice car. Take it to a chapter meet and have it judged. No matter what, I bet you have a great time, meet great people and learn a great deal about your car.

If it is an unmolested original car you should consider Star/Bowtie judging.
