In earlier posts on the subject of adding headrests to a C2, there was reference to ways to mount the bracket in the seat so that the headrest can be positioned for greater comfort. My car is a 67 vert, and I have a kit with the 67 style headrests. I didn't see the actual details of what changes to make or why. Can someone post the details?

Re: C2 Head rest bracket positioning for comfort?
Tim, are you sure you aren't recalling the differences between the '66 and the '67 headrests. The 66's angle way too far forward and are wider. When I welded my brackets in, they only go in one way and I don;t see where you and make any adjustments there.

Re: C2 Head rest bracket positioning for comfort?
Scott, thanks for the reply. No, I am referring to how the bracket inside the seat is mounted. I have attached a link to a thread in the achieves that you can review. See the post by Bill Stephenson. I have heard from a couple of people in the past about tweaking the mounting of the brackets slightly to improve comfort. You are right, it appears to me that the brackets can go in only one way... I have emailed Bill.
By the way, since you added headrests to your car, how do you like them? Are you a taller person as am I (6'2")?- Top

I'm 6'3", and just sat for a while in the headrest seat that is in the 67 convertible I bought a few weeks ago. I found it comfortable. The headrest doesn't really come into play when you're in normal driving position--these are original untouched seats.- Top

Re: C2 Head rest bracket positioning for comfort?
I agree Wayne. I have the originals in my 66 and I can understand why most people wouldn't like them. I really don't have a proble with it but I think it has to do with the position. I'm a bit over 6' so the pad hits me in the neck instead of the back of my head. If I slouch down, my head is forced forward in an uncomfortible position so I certainly understand why most owners removed them.
I still haven't decided if they look really good or really stupid. With the top down, they look like something that really doesn't belong to a 60's Corvette.- Top
