I am looking all over town for the oil galley block plug that sits in the rear of a sbc block near the oil pump. I would have thought it would have come with the new set of brass block plugs, but not so lucky. I mic'd the hole size and it's .560", Napa finally found one in their books listed at .567" which may be correct for an interfence fit, but there is only a couple in all of the Seattle area. So before I go running all over town on a Friday afternoon, does anyone else know where to find one of these or have a part number. The Chevy parts counter guy was clueless.

Thanks Clem, unfortunately I just called a dealer and there computer shows that no Chevy dealer in the area has one.Comment

when it is in place you can put a rod down
thru the hole in the top of the block where the oil pressure line goes and it should stop about 8-1/4" down if the plug is in place. a dorman expansion plug catalog should be able to cross reference that number to one of theirsComment
